Before starting your winery cruise, you should get some pamphlets of rough informations including which domaines are in which villages. If you once get to the village, you can easily find the signs to your destination. (Although most of the pamphlets are written in French, you will feel no problem in reading only addresses, phone numbers and so on.)
One more book we would like to recommend is buyers' guidebook which includes the information of each wine's evaluation such as appearance, nose, palate and so on. Some of which are written by well-known tasters and others are by professional tasting research groups visiting each winery. This kind of information would also be helpful.
