【解】友達の間に仕切りがあってこそ友情は長つづきするもの。「親しき仲にも礼儀あり」にあたる。'green' は青葉の連想から「新鮮さ」（freshness)「元気」(prime of life)「未熟」(inexperience)を象徴するが、このことわさでは「新鮮さ」の意味であり hudge の縁語として用いてある。
