Charlize Theron was kind enough to thank former Journey vocalist Steve Perry at last night's Golden Globe awards. Perry oversaw some of the musical placements in Theron's movie Monster, including Journey's Don't Stop Believing.

Well, here we are again. The yearly ritual known as the "BIRTHDAY". Oh ,my.....I can't believe it, "39"....AGAIN......!! All kidding aside, I'd like to thank all the fans who have continued to be so faithful for all these years. So much has changed, in all our lives.

I would like to thank you for all the donations that were made this year on my behalf. They're all great causes ~thank you. I was told by Lora of the many birthday messages posted on various fan sites. Thanks to all of you for your messages.

Lastly, I was so surprised when I opened the paper and saw your birthday message in the San Diego Union Tribune. When I read, "In a rousing chorus we all shall sing, happy birthday," for a moment I could hear you all. I really loved it.........thank you so much !

THE ENDLESS STEVE VS STEVE DEBATE:
An interesting quote from John Kalodner. When asked via his website if he would sign Journey in his new role at Sanctuary Records, John's reply was: "I would be the happiest person in the world if I could sign Journey with Steve Perry. But it's up to Steve Perry. As for signing Journey with Steve Augeri singing in 2004, even though Mr. Augeri is maybe one of the loveliest guys I know, and is certainly an adequate singer to represent Journey in a concert setting, I don't think I would sign that line-up to make new recordings with the information that I have."
Seriously - people have to stop the never ending quest to have Perry return to Journey. Steve Augeri has done a grade-A job as frontman since 1997 and needs to be shown more respect and support. I hope to see a new Augeri fronted Journey album before my hair turns grey.
