You do not need to worry how to get information about wines in Bourgogne.You will find plenty of information about tours or wine schools for travelers at the Tourist Information in Beaune. You can find lots of books of wines at bookstores and various kinds of Bourgogne wines at liquor shops or restaurant bars. Enjoy whole of Beaune as a huge wine information center.

First of all you must visit it, where is the center of information about domaine cruising, as well as sightseeing of Beaune. You can get some pamphlets about places of domaines and advertisements of some tours, wine schools and domaines mainly in and around Beaune (ex: Côte de Beaune, Hautes Côtes de Beaune). You can also apply the tours and the schools there. Some staffs understand English.

Liquor Shops
You can ask shop assistants about their recommendation. Please note, however, you can find lots of bottles of négociants such as Joseph Drouhin or Louis Jadot, but you will rarely find products of excellent small domaines, which you can get in Paris more easily.

In and around Beaune, you will find many storehouses of negociants,where you can try free tasting of their products. If you want to try various kinds of wine, however, bars or liquor shops downtown are much better places.

Operated by 5 villages(Chablis-Auxerois, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise, Mâconnais) in Bourgogne, this organization is for the purpose of protection and sales promotion of Bourgogne wines. For people in need of further information, it stores special books about Bourgogne wines, as well as operating wine schools and tasting schools with some courses for professionals and others for amateurs. The term ranges from 2 days to 1 week.

Wine school(L'Ambassade du Vin)
Coordinated by Mr. Paul Cadiau, this wine school offers various programs according to the knowledge and interest of wines, such as from a tasting seminar for the beginners (2 hours) to vinifications's seminar for the experts(several days). Tasting seminars are presented in English. You can apply for tasting seminars at the Tourist Information.

Nuits-Saint-Georges
You should visit this village if you are in need of informations especially about northern part of Côte d'Or(Côte de nuits, Hautes Côtes de nuits, etc ), including the world-wide famous vineyard Romanée-Conti.

You can get pamphlets briefing about Nuits-Saint Georges and it's neighbor villages (Vosne- Romanée, Vougeot and some others) and apply tours cruising mainly Côte de nuits, Hautes Côtes de nuits.
