２年AＢ組後半の国際理解の授業でRoses are red の唄を聞いたあと、韻を踏んだ替え唄を作りました。２行目と４行目で韻を踏むのはむずかしかったようですが、素敵な作品がたくさん集まりました。韻とは、「同じ音で終わるラップ」のような感じで、英語の詩やポップスの基本です。
It is night,
The moon has set.
The star is light,
Let's go home soon.
Delicious dinner is waiting for me.
夜になった
月が出てきた
星も輝いている
はやくおうちに帰ろう
おいしいご飯が待っている（はあか）
Take time to work,
It is the price of success.
Take time to think,
It is the source of power.
Take time to pray,
It is the great power on earth.
Take time to dream,
It is hitching your wagon to a star.
仕事をとる時間を取りなさい
それは成功のねだん
考えるじかんをもちなさい
それは成功のちからです
いのるじかんをとりなさい
地球でもっとも強いちからです
夢を見る時間をとりなさい
大きな意味を含むことです (pjh)

I wanted to take a shower.
There was a flower.
That was so funny.
So, that makes me happy.
私はシャワーを浴びたかった。
そこにお花がさいていた。
それはとてもおもしろかった。

Birds are crying.
And I am crying, too.

Standing beside other girls.
鳥は鳴いている。
そして私も泣いている。

A piece of folly we did find,

The cute dog was mine.
She ran away.

It is sunny today.
Birds are lovely.
But they flew away.
I'm so lonely.
今日はぽかぽか陽気
小鳥はかわいい
でも遠くへ飛んでいっちゃた
私はすごくさびしい(時夫)
If we hold on

We can do anything.
And world peace forever,
I hope so everything.
私達が力をあわせれば
私達は何だってできる
そして世界は永遠に平和になる
全部そううまくいけばいいのになあ（とまと）
On the way home from school,

We are rangers!
Cars are coming to the old women.
And we confronted dangers.
We want to be stronger men.
私はレンジャーだ！
おばあさんたちに車が近づいている。
そして、私たちはおばあさんを守るために立ち向かった。

rabbit.
I am a hobbit.
Always we hop,
Heading for the hill top.

Using a balloon.

The moon is yellow,
Sunflowers of Vincent.
The ocean is small,
And jelly fish are innocent.

ひまわりといえばフィンセントだ
海は狭いけれど
クラゲはそれを知らない（salmon）

There is a shining star.

It makes you smile.

I came into the hall,
To play with my little doll.
And what we are going to try,
Is to make her fly.
私の小さな人形と一緒に遊ぶため
私はホールに来た

どの詩も素敵です。日本の七五調（俳句・短歌・標語）のように、韻を踏んだ詩（マザーグース）は、とても口ずさみやすいです。ぜひ、みなさんも声に出して読んでみてくださいね。（赤と青がそれぞれ韻を踏んでいます）
さて、最後に・・・次の詩はビートルズが"Dear
Prudence" で作った替え唄です。ビートルズの替え唄もシンプルです。（皆さんの詩もビートルズに負けてないかも）
