 1. SCOPE
  1.1 Scope.
This standard establishes identification coding systems for all insulated hookup and lead wire used in electrical and electronic equipment by the Departments of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
These coding systems should also be used for identifying lead wires on Hall generators and ac and dc wire coding methods specified (see 4.9 and 4.10).
  1.2 Classification.
Identification of hookup wiring and lead wire shoud be limited to the following systems:
      
  • System I - Differentiation color coding for chassis wiring.
  • System II - Functional color coding of chassis wiring
  • System III - Differentiation or functional coding of chassis wiring by printed markings
  • System IV - Coding of interconnecting wiring.
  • System V - Direct wiring and open wiring
  • System VI - Differential color coding of hookup wire for chassis and interconnection wiring
 3. DEFINITIONS
  3.1 Definitions.
For the purpose of this standard, the following definitions apply:
  • 3.1.1 Hookup wire
  • 3.1.2 Lead wire.
  • 3.1.3 Chassis wiring.
  • 3.1.4 Interconnecting wiring.
  • 3.1.5 Harness.
  • 3.1.6 Homogenous cable.
  • 3.1.7 Jacketed cable.

b. Description and requirements for the wire used in making the solderless wrapped connections.
c. Description and requirements for the wrappost used in making the solderless wrapped connections.
  1.2 Classification.
This standard covers the following classes of solderless wrapped, electrical connections:
Class A - Solderless wrapped, electrical connections (see 3.2 for preferred method).
Class B - Conventional solderless wrapped, electrical connections (see 3.3). Class A will be used whenever possible.

 1. SCOPE
  1.1 Scope.
This standard establishes identification coding systems for all insulated hookup and lead wire used in electrical and electronic equipment by the epartments of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. These coding systems should also be used for identifying lead wires on Hall generators and ac and dc wire coding methods specified (see 4.9 and 4.10)..
  1.2 Classification.
Identification of hookup wiring and lead wire shall be limited to the following systems
      
  • System I - Differentiation color coding for chassis wiring.
  • System II - Functional color coding of chassis wiring.
  • System III - Differentiation or functional coding of chassis wiring by printed markings.
  • System IV - Coding of interconnecting wiring.
  • System V - Direct wiring and open wiring.
  • System VI - Differential color coding of hookup wire for chassis and interconnection wiring.
 3. DEFINITIONS
  3.1 Definitions.
For the purpose of this standard, the following definitions apply:
  • 3.1.1 Hookup wire
  • 3.1.2 Lead wire.
  • 3.1.3 Chassis wiring.
  • 3.1.4 Interconnecting wiring.
  • 3.1.5 Harness.
  • 3.1.6 Homogenous cable.
  • 3.1.7 Jacketed cable.

Test Method Standard Test Methods for Semiconductor Devices

This standard establishes uniform methods for testing semiconductor devices, including basic environmental tests to determine resistance to deleterious effects of natural elements and conditions surrounding military operations, and physical and electrical tests.
For the purpose of this standard, the term "devices" includes such items as transistors, diodes, voltage regulators, rectifiers, tunnel diodes, and other related parts.
This standard is intended to apply only to semiconductor devices.
As a convenience to users interested in the content of the next revision of MIL-STD-750, a working draft folder has been established. For access go to 750_Work_Draft.

Semiconductor Devices, General Specification for FSC 5961
 現在有効な 本体 Rev. N (2005-11-30版)、追補、個別シート類 を含め 多数の関連情報 があります。
This specification establishes the general performance requirements for semiconductor devices.
Detail requirements and characteristics are specified in the specification sheet.
Revisions to this specification and specification sheets are structured to assure the interchangeability of devices of the same part type regardless of manufacturing date code or conformance inspection (CI) completion date.
Five quality levels for encapsulated devices are provided for in this specification, differentiated by the prefixes JAN, JANTX, JANTXV, JANJ, and JANS.
Eight radiation hardness assurance (RHA) levels are provided for the JANTXV and JANS quality levels.
These are designated by the letters M, D, P, L, R, F, G, and H following the quality level portion of the prefix.
Two quality levels for unencapsulated devices are provided for in this specification, differentiated by the prefixes JANHC and JANKC.
As a convenience to users interested in the content of the next revision of MIL-PRF-19500, a working draft folder has been established. For access go to 19500_Working (上記).

This standard establishes uniform methods for testing semiconductor devices, including basic environmental tests to determine resistance to deleterious effects of natural elements and conditions surrounding military operations, and physical and electrical tests.
For the purpose of this standard, the term "devices" includes such items as transistors, diodes, voltage regulators, rectifiers, tunnel diodes, and other related parts.
This standard is intended to apply only to semiconductor devices.
As a convenience to users interested in the content of the next revision of MIL-STD-750, a working draft folder has been established. For access go to 750_Work_Draft.

I. OBJECTIVES:
The objective of this EPS study was to research the feasibility of adding traceability to MIL-STD-790.
II. BACKGROUND:
In September 2007, in accordance with Department of Defense policies, MIL-STD-790 five year reviews came due. Project 59GP-2008-001 was taken out, and the document was reviewed, changed, and then sent out for an internal DSCC review. Comments were received to add conformance and acquisition traceability into the standard; this would be something similar to MIL-PRF-38535’s traceability (see attachment 1), along with the rewording of paragraph 5.1.4, Sub-assembly facilities. The survey was sent to the military custodians and reviewing activities, and then to the G-11 committee for comments.
III. RESULTS:
The responses to the survey letter that was sent out were in favor of adding the conformance and acquisition traceability, and the rewording of the sub-assembly paragraph.
IV. CONCLUSIONS:
As a result from receiving favorable responses the conformance and acquisition traceability, and the rewording of the sub-assembly paragraph will be added to Revision G of MIL-STD-790.
V. RECOMMENDATIONS:
The conformance and acquisition traceability and the rewording of paragraph 5.1.4 will be added to the standard. The standard will again be sent out to the Military and Industry (Original Equipment Manufacturers and the parts manufacturers) to be giving the chance to provide addition comments

 1. SCOPE
  1.1 Scope.
This standard establishes identification coding systems for all insulated hookup and lead wire used in electrical and electronic equipment by the Departments of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. These coding systems shall also be used for identifying lead wires on Hall generators and ac and dc wire coding methods specified (see 4.9 and 4.10).
  1.2 Classification.
  • System I - Differentiation color coding for chassis wiring.
  • System II - Functional color coding of chassis wiring
  • System III - Differentiation or functional coding of chassis wiring by printed markings
  • System IV - Coding of interconnecting wiring.
  • System V - Direct wiring and open wiring
  • System VI - Differential color coding of hookup wire for chassis and interconnection wiring
 3. DEFINITIONS
  3.1 Definitions.
For the purpose of this standard, the following definitions apply:
 3.1.1 Hookup wire.
Hookup wire refers to an insulated conductor free at both ends and used for chassis wiring and interconnecting wiring.
 3.1.2 Lead wire.
Lead wire refers to an insulated conductor forming an integral part of components such as motors, transformers, Hall generators, etc., and used for chassis wiring.
 3.1.3 Chassis wiring.
Chassis wiring may consist of hookup wire, lead wire, shielded cable, jacketed multiconductor cable, coaxial cable, or twisted multiconductor groups of wires or cables, or wires and cables, used to connect electrical or electronic elements within the same equipment.
 3.1.4 Interconnecting wiring.
Interconnecting wiring consists of wires cables, groups or harnesses used to connect complete units of electrical or electronic systems.
 3.1.5 Harness.
An assembly of wires or cables, or wires and cables arranged so it may be installed or removed as a unit in the same electronic or electrical equipment.
 3.1.6 Homogenous cable.
Cable composed of identical insulated conductors.
 3.1.7 Jacketed cable.
A jacketed cable is a bundle of insulated wires encased in a common sheath.

  1.0 INTRODUCTION
Qualification for placement on the Qualified Suppliers List for Distributors (QSLD), and the maintenance of QSLD status, requires the distributor to demonstrate that it has in place, and uses on a routine basis, a Quality Management System (QMS) that meets the criteria set forth in JESD31.
The objective of the QSLD Program is to ensure that the distributor routinely controls his processes to provide consistent delivery of products that conform to the contract and specification requirements.
Four key elements are required of distributors who wish to be listed on the QSLD.
These are:
  • a. Evidence of using a documented Quality Management System which meets DSCC's criteria.
  • b. QPL/QML products having been produced by a Manufacturer who is listed (or was at date of manufacture) on the QPL or QML, and commercial products produced by the original manufacturer, may be purchased under this program If the products were procured from another distributor, that distributor must be listed on the QSLD. Consequently, all products pursuant to DSCC's contract must be obtained from, or flow through QSLD providers. This closed loop flow must be supported by the provider's traceability documentation. No deviations are permitted under this QSLD program.
  • c. Evidence that product is not commingled; lot identity is maintained.
  • d. The quality of the product is not altered by Distributors.
  2.0 SCOPE
The products that DSCC procures which are included in this program are certain safety critical and high reliability items which fall into the Federal Supply Classes of 5961 (semiconductors) and 5962 (monolithic and hybrid microcircuits).

MIL-HDBK-1131B (アルミ電解固定コンデンサの保存に関する HandBook の改正案(Draft) が無償公開されています。
 昔、自作アマ無線TRX(管球式 送信管は802だったか)で、旧くなったアルミ電解コンデンサを爆発させたことがあります。安全弁が飛んだのですが、こちらが飛び上がりそうになりました。 特に、長期間通電しなかったアルミ電解コンデンサは、規定電圧以下でも爆発しやすいのでご注意を!

  I. OBJECTIVE
To determine if adhesive label marking of electronic parts is a reliable and prudent choice given the harsh environment presented to military and space components and given the heightened awareness of electronic component counterfeiting.
  II. BACKGROUND
In late July 2007, at a NASA Electronic Parts Assurance Group (NEPAG) meeting, the subject of using adhesive labels for electronic parts marking was broached with respect to their use on military and space qualified parts. One of the participants had concerns about the susceptibility of this marking technique to subsequent part processing/handling and wanted to know if DSCC had any established rules on the use of labels. ・・・

   Label and adhesive materials:

Engineering Practices Study for Data Gathering for the Purpose of Withdrawal of Adoption of Non-Government Standard Test Methods for Chemical Based Tests for Laminates and Prepregs
 ・II. BACKGROUND:
The four NGS(民間標準) documents, IPC-TM-650 test methods, were referenced and used by MIL-S-13949 for evaluating the chemical properties of both laminates and prepreg materials. The four NGS documents are no longer needed for DoD use since MIL-S-13949 has been canceled without replacement.
 ・III. RESULTS:
An electronic mail message survey was sent to 20 Department of Defense and Government activities asking for their comments or concurrence concerning the withdrawal of the four NGS documents. All responses were in concurrence with the withdrawal of the four NGS documents. There were no negative or essential comments submitted.

The NGS documents listed in the attached table are being considered for possible withdrawal of DoD adoption review and comment. These IPC-TM-650 test methods for chemical based tests were referenced by MIL-S-13949, which has been canceled. These NGS test methods are not referenced within any other DoD standardization document.
The attached table lists the subject NGS test methods, including their current revision, title, date, and hyperlinks to the files.
Concurrence or comments regarding the withdrawal of adoption of the test methods are required at this Center no later than 45 days from the date of this letter. ・・・

1.1 Scope. This specification covers the requirements for the preservation, packing, and container marking of all types of capacitors and associated accessories that are primarily in FSC 5910 (see 6.1).

  ・3.1 General. The packaging terms used herein shall be in accordance with the definitions
     listed in MIL-STD-129 and MIL-STD-2073-1. The following general requirements apply,

3.1.1 Pairs, sets, and kits. Capacitors furnished in pairs, sets, or kits under one national stock number (NSN) shall be unit packed as one pair, one set, or one kit, as applicable. When individual unit packs are used to make up a pair, set, or kit of capacitors, these packs shall not be glued, stapled, or taped together but shall be enclosed within close fitting container.
3.1.2 Hardware. Hardware accompanying capacitors shall be protected and enclosed within the unit packs in a manner that will not damage the capacitors or packaging materials. When practical, the hardware should be mounted on each capacitor.

1.1 Scope.
This specification covers the variable resistors having a composition resistance element shaped in an arc, and a contact bearing uniformly thereon, so that a change in resistance is produced between the terminal of the contact and the terminal of either end of the resistance element when the operating shaft is turned. These resistors are capable of full load operation (where maximum resistance is engaged) at a maximum ambient temperature of 70OC, and are capable for continuous operation when properly derated, at a maximum temperature of 120OC (see 6.9).
