　Lucas Nystrand は、フィンランド生まれで、スウェーデン在住。Jazz の要素を多分に含んだ Hip Hop や House、Breakbeat など、様々な曲を作っています。また、彼は非常に多くのハンドルを使っています。以下に列挙します。

　・・・まだあるかもしれませんが、おそらく最も有名なのは、Mortimer Twang でしょう。上記のグループでも、このハンドルを使っています。主に Hip Hop 系の曲をリリースする際のハンドルです。一方、Velvet Jones は House 系のハンドルとして区別しているようです。

　Tracker としてのキャリアは、1995年頃に Orlingo と共にはじめた Black Sista にさかのぼるようです。当時の作品は、Aminet に置いてあるものが Black Sista のサイトからダウンロードできます。その後、グループ名が Disciples of Ageema に変わり、現在に到っています。それ以外にも、複数のグループに所属する他、ゲストリリースもあります。

　彼が scene の Hip Hop 系アーティストに与えた影響はとても大きく、共に Theralite のメンバーである Willbe は、Mp3.com の Similar Artists 欄で、Massive Attack や DJ CAM、Portishead らと同列に彼の名前を挙げています。Mortimer Twang のフォロワーの代表者でしょう。また、Charlie Brown Records の Pedro も、T.i.S. のインタビューで彼の名前を挙げています。

　90年代の前半から、CNCD、Dual Crew Shining、Doomsday、Haujobb、Scoopex など、Amiga demo scene で有名なグループの作品に数多く関わり、過去に制作した MOD 作品の数は数百曲にもおよぶ Muffler は、意外なことに、まだ 18才！　作曲をはじめたのは、なんと 9才の時とのことです。

　彼の膨大な作品群には様々なスタイルの曲があります。Amigascne.org には、ほぼ全作品が網羅されていますが、その中でも、最も得意とするのは Jungle/Drum'n'Bass 系の曲。彼の激しく熱い Drum'n'Bass に魅せられる人は、日本人のなかにも多いようです。

　彼の音楽活動は、Demo/MOD scene だけには止まりません。1999年に TRSI Recordz から album "Muffler" をリリース。彼のホームページで、Real Audio による試聴もできますし、Bjorn Lynne のサイトで購入もできます。

　最近では、本格的なプロ活動も展開しています。コンポーザーとして、また DJ 、リミキサーとしても知られる Aphrodite と、彼の相棒 Mickey Finn の Drum'n'Bass 系レーベル Urban Takeover と契約。"Somber / Fury" をリリースしています。これは、911 Murder.com で試聴、購入できます。さらに、新作も近々リリースされるようです。

　また、Formation Records のコンピレーション "Jazz & Bass Session III" では、"Temptation" というリミックス曲が収録されています。レーベルのサイトは試聴もできます。
