M・シューマッハが今季11勝目を飾った。2位バトンはアロンソをオーバーテイク。4位クルサード、5位モントーヤ、6位ウェバー。佐藤はピッツォニアに追い抜かれて8位。バリチェロは12位に終わった。
ライコネン、クラッシュ
(7/25)
スタートでM・シューマッハがトップを守った。モントーヤは出遅れ、5番手アロンソが2位浮上。バリチェロがミスしてフロントウィングを失った。佐藤は9位後退。9番手パニスはピットスタート。
ライコネンがアロンソをパスして2位浮上。M・シューマッハの背後に迫る。しかし18周目の第1コーナーでリアウィングが飛び去り、スピンしてクラッシュ。これでM・シューマッハは楽になった。
佐藤はピッツォニア、マッサ、ウェバー、トゥルーリをオーバーテイク。しかしコースアウトでウェバーに前を行かれた。

Michael won 11th
(Jul.25)
M.Shucmacher won 11th on this season. 2nd Button overtook Alonso. 4th
Coulthard, 5th Montoya, 6th Webber. Sato was passed by Pizzonia and was 8th.
Barrichello finished only 12th.
Raikkonen crashed
(Jul.25)
M.Schumacher saved the top at the start. Montoya delayed and Alonso of 5th
was up to 2nd. Barrichello lost the front wing by his mistake. Sato was back
to 9th. Panis of 9th started from pit.
Raikkonen passed Alonso and was 2nd. He approached to Michael. But Raikkonen
spun and crashed at the 1st corner cause of the rear wing left. Michael
became easy now.
Sato overtook Pizzonia, Massa, Webber and Trulli. But he was off the course
and was passed by Webber.

ミヒャエル地元で61回目PP
(7/24)
M・シューマッハが地元ドイツで通算61回目のPPを獲得した。セナの記録まであと4つに迫る。1:13.306は、前年最終予選1位(モントーヤ、17周分)より1.8秒、第一予選1位よりも1.1秒も速い。M・シューマッハはバリチェロより0.8秒も速いため、軽いと思われる。レースは温度が上昇すればするほどブリヂストンが有利になり、昨年と逆の展開になった。
佐藤はバトンに0.6秒も離されたが、セクター1での0.45秒差が大きかった。セクター2とセクター3は大差ないことから、燃料搭載量は変わらないと思われる。セクター1にある高速コーナーのターン1が遅いのだろう。

Qualify
Michael got 61st PP in his country
(Jul.24)
M.Schumacher gained PP of the 61st total in local Germany. Four more are
approached to record of Senna. 1:13.306 is faster 1.8 seconds than last
year's final qualifying (Montoya, 17 laps), 1.1 seconds than 1st qualifying.
Michael is quicker 0.8 seconds than Barrichello, it is regarded as light.
The more temperature rose, Bridgestone became advantageous and, the more the
race became deployment contrary to last year.
Although Sato was detached by Button no less than 0.6 seconds, the 0.45
second difference in Sector 1 was large. Since Sector 2 and Sector 3 are
practically equal, it is thought that the amount of fuel loading does not
change. The turn 1 of the high-speed corner in a sector 1 may be slow.

into barriers at turn 13. Pantano crashed at turn 1. Both drivers could
not run on 2nd half.
M.Schumacher topped at 1st half. Button tooped at 2nd half. Last year's
winner Montoya kept the good pace.

金曜フリー走行 (7/23)
ヨーロッパGP同様、M・シューマッハは地元ドイツの観客の前でトップタイムを取りに来る。午前は終了直前にデビッドソンに取られたが、午後はトップを取った。ライコネンも好調だがクルサードは上がって来ないし、マクラーレンは相変わらず周回数が最も少ない。まだ不安なのか。ピッツォニアがウィリアムズに乗り、モントーヤに迫った。ホンダとの提携が3年延長されたBARは3台ともトップ10だが、バトンがエンジン交換で10グリッド降格決定。トヨタはTF104Bを出したがまだ鳴りをひそめる。

Friday practice (Jul.23)
Michael comes to take a top time in front of the spectator of local Germany like
Europe GP. Although taken by Davidson just before the end in the morning, the
top was taken in the afternoon. Although Raikkonen is also good, Coulthard does
not go up, and McLaren has least number of laps as usual. Is still it uneasy?
Pizzonia rode on Williams and approached Montoya. For BAR by which the
cooperation with Honda was extended for three years, although all three sets are
tops 10, Button is ten grid demotion determination by engine exchange. Although
Toyota took out TF104B, it is not yet conspicuous.
