オーストラリアGPラップタイム分析 (3/14)
フェラーリの圧勝に終わった2004年開幕戦だが、総じて各チームとも抑え気味に走ったため、本当の耐久性は試されていない。ウィリアムズはかなり長い間、遅い車に前方を抑えられた。ウィリアムズが追って来なかったため、フェラーリは終盤に余裕でペースダウンしていた。(・・・詳細)
 
Australia GP Laptimes analysis (Mar.14)
Although it was the opening game, since each team ran to prevention feeling generally in 2004 finished with overwhelming victory of Ferrari, true durability is not tried. 豪州赤一色 (3/7)
2004開幕戦オーストラリアGPはM・シューマッハが圧勝した。バリチェロが2位に入り、フェラーリは昨年1度もできなかった1-2フィニッシュをシーズン最初でやってのけた。M・シューマッハはバリチェロにすら一時20秒以上のリードを築いていた。さらに、モントーヤまで周回遅れにしようとする勢いがあった。

3位はただひとりフェラーリに追いすがったルノーのアロンソだった。ウィリアムズはまったくの不調で、R・シューマッハが4位、モントーヤが5位に終わった。モントーヤはバトンとトゥルーリをオーバーテイクしたのが見せ場だったが。

期待のBARホンダは、バトンが6位、佐藤が9位で、ともにグリッドから2つ順位を下げた。左フロントタイヤに偏磨耗が見られるなど、ミシュランへの適合性に課題を残した。佐藤はアンダーステアで何度かコースオフしかけた。

7位トゥルーリはアロンソよりはるかに遅く、いきなりパフォーマンスが問われる事態になった。マクラーレンはライコネンが10周持たずにリタイヤ。クルサードは2ストップで浮上できず8位。地元ウェバーもリタイヤしたが、完走は14台だった。思ったほどサバイバル戦にならなかった。

トヨタは2周遅れの12位ダ・マッタ、13位パニス。信頼性はあったが、まるで話にならない戦闘力だった。

スタートで良かったのがルノーとBARだった。アロンソはモントーヤを一瞬で抜き去った。佐藤はバトンに次ぐ6位に上がっていた。第一コーナーでモントーヤはアロンソより遅くブレーキしようとしてコースアウトしてしまった。佐藤はアウト側でグリップを失い、順位を落とした。

もともとメルボルンの路面は特殊であり、ブリヂストン向きだった。パーマネントコースのセパンに行かないとまだわからない。だがそれにしてもフェラーリ&BSのロングランでの強さは相当のものがある。
 
Australia is dyed all red (Mar.7)
M.Schumacher overwhelmed 2004 opening-game Australia GP. Barrichello went into the 2nd place, and Ferrari did 1-2 finish which was not made once last year by the season beginning. M.Schumacher had built the lead for 20 seconds or more even to Barrichello temporarily. Furthermore, there was vigor which it is going to make lap delay to Montoya. 

The 3rd place was merely Alonso of Renault who ran closely after Ferrari one person. R.Schumacher finished with the 4th place and Montoya finished with the 5th place to the bad condition that Williams was entire. It was a highlight that Montoya carried out overtaking of Button and Trulli. 

Button is the 6th place and Sato the 9th place, and BAR Honda of expectation both lowered 2 ranking from the grid. It left the subject to the conformity to a Michelin -- the wear which inclined toward the left front tire is seen. Only for course-off, Sato is a beam several times at understeering. 

The 7th place, Trulli was late farther than Alonso and became the situation where performance was asked suddenly. McLaren, Raikkonen was a retired without having 10 laps. Coulthard could not rise to surface for two stops, was 8th place. Complete running was 14 sets although the retired also of local Webber was carried out. It did not become a survival game so that it considered. 

For Toyota, 2 laps delay was 12th da Matta and 13th Panis. They were reliable, but were not the fighting power which does not completely become the talk.

It was Renault and BAR that was good at the start. Alonso passed Montoya in the instant. Sato was going up to the 6th place which ranks next to Button. Montoya tended to carry out the brake later than Alonso, and has carried out course out at the first corner. Sato lost the grip by the out side and dropped ranking.

From the first, the road surface of Melbourne was special and was for Bridgestone. It does not yet know that it does not go to the Sepang of a permanent course. But even so, the strength in the long run of Ferrari &BS has a considerable thing.

ラルフ・キミ・DCは重い燃料か (3/6)
予選2回の各セクタータイムを並べて見た。2回目は1回目からのタイム差も併記してある。一番右のポテンシャルとは、2回の予選の全セクターのベストを集めたタイムである。モントーヤは2回目のセクター3でミスしたが、それがなくてもフェラーリには届かなかったと思われる。ラルフ、キミ、DCは2回目の全セクターで遅くなっており、燃料を多く積んだ可能性がある
(ただしクルサードは明らかなミスもあった)。佐藤琢磨の7番手はこの3人のおかげであり、ポテンシャル的には10番手相当だった。バトンはその3人が重くなくても4番手は変わらない。一方、フィジケラとパンターノは2回目に遅くなったが、セクター2は逆に速いことから、他のセクターはミスと思われる。
 
Ralf, Kimi and DC may be heavy? (Mar.6)
Each sector time of two qualifyings was put in order and seen. 2nd qualify difference from 1st qualify is also written together. The rightmost potential is the time which collected the bests of all the sectors of two qualifyings. Although the mistake was made in Montoya with the sector 3 of 2nd qualify, it is thought that Ferrari was not reached even if there was no it. Ralf, Kimi, and DC were late with all sectors in 2nd qualify, and may have stacked many fuel. Takuma Sato's 7th was this favor of three persons, and was 10th in potential. Even if the three persons are not heavy, Button's 4th was not change. On the other hand, although Fisichella and Pantano became late the 2nd qualify, other sectors are considered to be mistakes from a sector 2 being conversely quick.

マクラーレン信頼性に不安 (3/6)
金曜と土曜の2日間で最も多い周回を走ったのは、ジョーダンのパンターノで、67周(355.301km)だった。2番目はトゥルーリとダ・マッタの64周(
339.392km)。レースは307.574kmだから、彼らも800km以内に収まっている。
逆に最も短かったのは、ライコネンの43周(228.029km)で、2番目はクルサードの44周(233.332km)だった。マクラーレンは2日間とも午前中のセッションは数周ずつしか走らなかった。彼らがしっかり走ったのは、金曜午後だけだった。それはレースの路面温度に近いからだろう。信頼性に不安を感じさせる。セッティングも出来ているのだろうか。
 
McLaren has uneasiness in reliability (3/6)
Pantano of Jordan ran most circumference in two days, Friday and Saturday, and it was 67 laps (355.301km). The 2nd is 64 laps (339.392km) of Trulli and da Matta. Therefore, as for the race 307.574km, they are also settled in less than 800km.
Conversely, it was 43 laps (228.029km) of Raikkonen that was the shortest, and the 2nd was 44 laps (233.332km) of Coulthard. As for the session in the morning, as for McLaren, two days ran only by a unit of several laps. It was only the Friday afternoon that they ran firmly. It will be because it is close to the road surface temperature of a race. It is made to feel uneasy in reliability. Is also the arrangement possible?

予選1回目、モントーヤが1:25.226でトップに立ったが、2回目でミヒャエルが1:24.408をマークして開幕PPを奪取。バリチェロが0.074秒差で2番手となり、フェラーリが最前列を独占。モントーヤは0.590秒差で3番手。ウィリアムズはテクニカルな第三セクターで遅い。バトンは同タイムだが1回目のタイムが比較されて4番手。佐藤琢磨はアロンソとウェバーに続く7番手で、フリー走行の不振から立ち直った。佐藤の1回目はダメダメだったが、2回目は決まった。佐藤の後ろにはラルフ、トゥルーリ、ライコネンといった強豪がひしめく。クルサードは最終コーナーで滅茶苦茶になり12番手。ダ・マッタ13番手。パニス、クリエン、ブルーニの3人が走れなかった。それにしてもCSは2回目の予選中盤に見れなくなって頭に来たゾ。
 
Schuy PP, Taku 7th (Mar.6)
On the 1st qualify, Montoya topped by 1:25.226. But Michael grabbed opening PP by 1:24.408. Barrichello also took 2nd differed 0.074 and Ferrari occupied front row. Montoya was 3rd by 0.590 difference. Williams is late at technical 3rd sector. Button took same time, but it was compared from 1st qualify and 4th. Takuma Sato was 7th followed Alonso and Webber. Taku recovered from depression of practices. Although Taku was useless at 1st qualify, his car was good at 2nd qualify. Behind Taku, outstanding players Ralf, Trulli, Raikkonen stood in a line. Coulthard became messy at the last corner and 12th. Panis, Klien, Bruni could not run at 2nd qualify. Even so, it becomes impossible that CS is seen in the middle of the 2nd qualifying, and, as for me, the belly stood.

最速フェラーリはもっと速い (3/5)
オーストラリアGPが開幕。金曜フリー走行でM・シューマッハとバリチェロが1,2位を占めた。
フェラーリは午後にもっと速いタイムを出すポテンシャルを持っていた。 あるセクターでタイムを更新しながら、次のセクターは遅く走るなど目立たないようにしていた。 実際には1秒差ではなく、1.5秒差以上はある。 ブリヂストンはアルバートパークの路面にマッチしたタイヤを持ってきた。
 
Fastest Ferrari is more quicker (Mar.5)
Australia GP opens. M.Schumacher and Barrichello occupied the 1st and 2nd place to the Friday practice.
Ferrari had the potential which takes out a quicker time in the afternoon. It is made to be not conspicuous that the following sector runs late etc., updating a time with a certain sector. There is not a difference but more than 1.5 second difference for 1 second in fact. Bridgestone brought the tire which matched the road surface of the Albert park.
 
メルボルン (3/3)
高速コーナーは1ヶ所のみ。あとはストレートと直角コーナーからなる。コーナーをオーバースピードで曲がると、縁石でフロアやバージボードを痛める。雨になったことは、2003年のレーススタート時と、2002年の予選途中からだった。

セクター1
シケインが2ヶ所と、第二シケインの先に時速200kmの高速コーナーがある。このコーナーはストレートのスピードにつながるため重要であり、BSが得意と思われる。また、セクター1は事故が多発しやすい。

セクター2
シケインが2ヶ所あるが、それ以外はひたすら全開。ここのセクタータイムは燃料搭載量の影響を受けない。エンジンパワーがものを言う。

セクター3
シケインと直角コーナーが4つあり、もっとも低速なセクション。マシン性能とセッティングの良し悪しで差が出やすい。
 
Melbourne (Mar.3)
