Teammate, measure of a driver

2002予選(3) チームメイトがドライバー評価の尺度

The 3rd time is qualify teammate confrontation. If there is a difference for every team, only a teammate is in measuring the ability of a driver. The outstanding driver has the power of team 1 year toppling a senior driver. It will not be better to see how many years the driver in the team. It must not be caught by how many wins and several losses, either. It is a point the time difference of which it was.


3回目は予選チームメイト対決です。チームごとに差があるならば、ドライバーの実力を測るのはチームメイトしかいません。すぐれたドライバーはチーム1年目でも古株ドライバーを倒す力を持っています。チーム何年目かはあまり見ない方が良いでしょう。何勝何敗かにとらわれてもなりません。どれだけのタイム差だったかがポイントです。

Ferrari

M.Schumacher 13-4 R.Barrichello

This was the first time that M.Schumacher suffered four losses of a year. Two losses were the maximum until now. Although Barrichello was not able to take out power with F2001 at all, it approached to Schumacher clearly by F2002. Or did a decline come to 33-year-old Schumacher? An answer will come out in 2003. Although F2002 was completely a different thing with F2001, F2003 is the improved type of F2002.


Ｍ・シューマッハが年4敗を喫したのは初めてだった。これまでは2敗が最大だった。バリチェロはF2001ではまったく力が出せなかったが、F2002でシューマッハに明らかに接近した。それとも33歳のシューマッハに衰えが来たのか。答えは2003年に出る。F2002はF2001とまったく別物だったが、F2003はF2002の改良型である。

Williams

J.P.Montoya 9-8 R.Schumacher

Montoya led R.Schumacher by wins slightly. Compared with R.Schumacher being stable in every circuit, the difference of Montoya the quick time and when late was intense. But the results of 7-0 strengthened the impression that the Montoya was quicker, by PP number.


モントーヤがＲ・シューマッハにわずかに勝ち越した。Ｒ・シューマッハがどのサーキットでも波がないのに比べ、モントーヤは速いときと遅いときの差が激しかった。だがＰＰ数で7-0という成績はモントーヤ速しの印象を強くした。

McLaren

K.Raikkonen 10-7 D.Coulthard

Raikkonen showed the speed which endures Coulthard which is the senior of a team. When three public road courses were removed, two persons' difference was approaching. The ability of McLaren is known. Raikkonen was able to pull out the limit. If Coulthard does not do its best in 2003, it is groundless.


ライコネンがチームの古株であるクルサードをしのぐ速さを見せた。3つの公道コースを除くと、二人の差は接近していた。マクラーレンの実力がわかる。ライコネンは限界を引き出すことができた。クルサードは2003年にがんばらないと立場がない。

Renault

J.Trulli 11-6 J.Button

Although it seemed that Trulli won, the 11th race was a close game of 6-5. After Button contracted with BAR, Trulli defeated successively five times. A difference comes out of this team to the treatment of a driver. The net win of Trulli was the favor. The seat is also dangerous when it seems that Trulli will have a close game to Alonso in 2003.


トゥルーリが勝ったかに見える。だが第11戦までは6-5の接戦だった。バトンがBARと契約した第12戦以降にトゥルーリが5連勝した。このチームはドライバーの扱いに差が出る。トゥルーリの勝ち越しはそのおかげだった。トゥルーリは2003年にアロンソに苦戦するようだとその座も危うい。

Sauber

N.Heidfeld 11-5 F.Massa

Although Heidfeld exceeded through the season, it is not good to have been defeated successively by Massa three times from the 13th game. It will become Germans' combination 2003. Frentzen is close to of his death of driver life. If Heidfeld  does not win, evaluation will fall.


ハイドフェルドがシーズンを通して上回った。だが第13戦からマッサに3連敗したのはいただけなかった。2003年はドイツ人同士の組み合わせになる。フレンツェンはドライバー人生の終焉に近い。ハイドフェルドは勝たないと評価が落ちるだろう。

Jordan

G.Fisichella 12-4 T.Sato

The difference of two drivers stuck clearly. Which of experience and nature will be the cause? Probably the sheet in 2003 will not be decided easily. It is also required for Sato to win the rivals who aim at another sheet by the test of winter, and to pack the difference with Fisichella.


二人のドライバーの差が明白についた。理由は経験と資質のどちらだろうか。おそらく2003年のシートはなかなか決まらないだろう。佐藤が冬のテストでシートを狙うライバルたちに勝ち、フィジケラとの差を詰めることも必要だ。

Jaguar

E.Irvine 10-7 P.de la Rosa

Irvine was led with 3-6 even by the 9th game overwhelmed the second half of the game which the machine performance went up with 7-1, and led by wins. Irvine's motivation influenced results. Whichever it makes it, two persons who lack in development capability have been discharged.


第9戦までで3-6とリードされたアーバインは、マシン性能が上がった後半戦を7-1と圧倒して勝ち越した。アーバインのモチベーションが成績を左右した。どちらにしても開発能力に欠ける二人は解雇されてしまった。

BAR

J.Villeneuve 10-7 O.Panis

Although Panis which supported the team to the 13th game led with 7-6, Villeneuve won remained 4 games and honor was given. The results of Panis are carried out through a season and do not change so much. That is, it was by the motivation situation of Villeneuve rather than team power was improved.


第13戦までチームを支えたパニスが7-6とリードしたが、ビルヌーブが残り4戦を勝って面目を施した。パニスの成績はシーズンを通してしそんなに変わらない。つまりチーム力が上がったというより、ビルヌーブのやる気いかんによっていた。

Toyota

M.Salo 14-3 A.McNish

There was no difference of two persons as record against an opponent. McNish was taking out the time near Salo after 4 game. McNish has the admiration which obtained the sheet as a service prize of development. That a difference was not given by McNish lowered evaluation of Salo.


対戦成績ほど二人の差はなかった。特にヨーロッパラウンドではマクニッシュがほんのわずかの差でサロに食い下がっていた。マクニッシュは開発の功労賞としてシートを得た感がある。マクニッシュに差をつけられなかったことの方がサロの評価を下げた。

Minardi

M.Webber 15-0 A.Yoong

Although it is hard to measure the ability of Webber in Yoong, it does not have a difference so much at 2 games by which Davidson participated in races. Although a Jaguar is the reason risked on Webber, isn't a front grid so much expectable?


ウエーバーの実力はユーンでは測りにくい。だがデビッドソンが参戦した2戦ではそんなに差がない。ジャガーはウェーバーに賭けたわけだが、そんなに前方グリッドは期待できないのではないか。

Arrows

H.H.Frentzen 11-1 E.Bernoldi

Although it was the team which disappeared on the way, it was equal with 10 times as many Toyota as this on budget. Bernoldi led Verstappen by wins with 10-7 in 2001, but did not win Frentzen. Frentzen can say it also as the measure which measures the ability of a driver.


途中で消えたチームだが、予算で10倍のトヨタと互角だった。ベルノルディは2001年にフェルスタッペンに10-7と勝ち越したが、フレンツェンには歯が立たなかった。フレンツェンはドライバーの実力を測る尺度ともいえる。
