The Internet, which uses freely the multimedia technology such as an image, music adding to the conventional print information, is popularized rapidly in the world.

Then, we are here in the middle of the big revolution "information revolution" next to the Industrial Revolution.

I want to try to think about the society reform which multimedia will bring in view of the reform of the society, which the Industrial Revolution brought.

Divide it into agriculture society (〜1765), industry society (1766 - 2000) and the information society (2001〜) temporarily and roughly.

1. The ability which a human being is expected and principal tool.

Securing of food was an extreme important subject for the human being in the labor applicable agriculture society.

Land, natural resources were made a main labor object, and it could be said that there were use of the livestock, use of farming machines and implements, a tool, and the human physical labor power was an important production means fundamentally.

The appearance of the power machine due to the Industrial Revolution made material, energy change newly in the object of the labor. Then, a human being was released from the physical labor, and the brainwork is put gradually in a human standard for value.

The information society where we are, they are making network rapidly using multimedia technology accompany with developing the computer.

Accompany　with the phenomenon, the information and the idea that apply it, were made the target of the labor.

It becomes a human standard for value that how they can analyze large quantities of information early and precise then plan a countermeasure together how raise imagination using computer.

2. A standard for value, behavior principle

It was the standard for value whose physiological desire was the biggest in the agriculture society.

As for the behavior principle, it was whether that it fought against the change in the weather, the natural calamity, the foreign invader and how it could be secured favorably the food、residence and the closes which is the lowest necessity of the life.

Generally life was at least assured, and the desire of the stability of the self in many competitors, became a standard for value in the industry society.

Then, position in oneself or organization to belong, autonomy, a guarantee were behavior principles.

In the information society, people will look for qualitative desire and a standard for value will change of the self-realization, the creation instead of the qualitative desire in the industry society.

Then, freedom, a tolerance, philanthropy have been being behavior principles.

3. The principle of the rule, the principle of the order maintenance, organization

principle

Because securing of the life was a behavior principle at least, starvation and escape from the danger were the principles of the order maintenance, and the power and violence were the principles of the rule in the organization principal agriculture society.

Therefore, organization structure was a ruler's meeting body, and it was an organization principle like charisma

Rule by the law proceeded instead of the power and the violence in the industry society.

The principle of the order maintenance was to control discredit, and law and contract-competition and mutuality were the principles of the rule.

Organization structure was a pyramid type, and centralization organization was an organization principle.

As for the appearance of the Internet, which connects the world momentarily, a place about the information and the restriction of the time could be removed even in the whole world.

Therefore network pattern flat organization appears, and an organization principle becomes an independent dispersion type.

The principle of the rule becomes mutual trust cooperation by the joint ownership of the dialog and the participation-vision.

4.Conclusion

Even　if we are in the middle of such a reform, there are many people who don't notice it and or don't try to catch up it, too.

Though the clear prospects to escape from Heisei long-term depression aren't made yet in Japan, one of the factors in economic development for this time of the United States is diffusion of the Internet technology using multimedia.

The application of the Japanese information technology is a scale in the single organization such as an enterprise and a university at present at most.

Compare with　it , EC(Electronics　Commerce) is further popularized with CALS (Computer　Aided　Lifecycle　Support　system), and the much bigger difference is given to Japan in the United States.

We have to realize that reasons of these difference are not of the difference of the technology but a delay of social reform such as pyramid type organization, graduate school for member of society.
