魔女がかった風貌をどう修正したのか、実際より20歳は若く見えるやたらダンディなジャケット、味のある顔だがあの顔から想像できないユニークな声の持ち主だから、とにかく「笑っても怖くない顔」にして大正解だと思う。

アルバムタイトルの由来は、Wivenhoeにあるいきつけのパブ "The Station Hotel" で飲んでいる時に曲想がわいたから、とのこと。 1953年生まれと先日知ったが相変わらず声も曲も若いのが嬉しい。 "Horses Up On The Hill"は Cleaners From Venus として発表してもよさそうな、適度な湿り気のある音が心地よかった。

1993年発表ソロアルバム、Andy Partridgeが全曲プロデューサー＆エンジニアとしてクレジット、ドラムス・パーカッションの大部分、"We'll Build a House"のギターソロ、"Before the Hurricane"のストリングスアレンジも担当。 曲間にさまざまな効果音やナレーションを挟んだり、クロス・フェイドさせたり、他人のアルバムとはいえこの力の入れようは凄い。 (限定盤BAH10Xはデジパック仕様、Newellの詩の朗読 "Live at Greyhound" ボーナスCD付。
Recorded at The Greyhound, Wivenhoe on Dec.11th 1992 and July 8th 1993 by Nick the Dogg.

俺が初めて聴いていいな、と思った頃のポップ・ミュージックと同じようなものを作りたくて作ったもの、だ。 アレンジでも60年代の音には徹底的にこだわってる。 まぁ、俺はそうしたい、と思っただけで実際にできたのは、アンディ・パートリッジの妥協しないプロデュースのおかげだがね。 彼が自分でドラムを叩いているのも、60年代っぽいドラム・サウンドにこだわったからだ。 彼の親父はジャズ・ドラマーで、彼はギターを手にする前はドラムを叩いていたんだ。 アンディは、サンタクロースとムッソリーニを足して2で割ったような男だったな（笑）
