MIBUDERA　TEMPLE

壬生狂言で有名だか、もともとは鎌倉時代に仏教をわかりやすくするため狂言を仕立てたのが始まりとか。９９１年の創建。境内には新撰組隊士の墓がある。

This temple ws built by Priest Kaiken of Miidera teple. The main hall burnt down in 1962 and wa rebuilt in 1970. The Shinsengumi group, also knwn as the wolves of Mibu, stayed here at the end of the Samurai period. Each year the famous Mibu Kyogen is held at the temple in February, April and October. The Kyogen stage was built in 1856, and has been designated an Important Cultural Property.
