JOJAKKOJI TEMPLE

小倉山の山腹にあり、常寂光土に遊ぶような趣きがあるのでこの名が寺名になったという。急な石段、高さ１２Mの多宝塔（重文）などが紅葉に包まれる様子は大変美しい。

This was converted from Priest Nisshin's house to a temple sometime after his retirement from the priesthood, between 1624 and 1644. The main attraction is the beautiful Taho Tower, which is an Important Cultural Property, and affords a lovely view of Kyoto. The temple is famous for its autumn colors. It is a lovely area for photography.
