| 方広寺 HOUKOUJI TEMPLE 豊臣秀吉の創建。かつては奈良の大仏を上回る高さ１９ｍのるしゃ那仏を安置し、三十三間堂を含む壮大な寺域を有していたが、火災で焼失。現在は、大阪の陣の引き金となった、高さ４．２ｍの鐘が残る。 「国家安康」・「君臣豊楽」の文字が読める。 豊臣秀吉の全てを焼失させた家康が、この鐘だけ残したのは、この鐘によって、秀吉を滅ぼした証にしたかったのではなかろうか。 This temple was built in 1586 by Hideyoshi Toyotomi, and later rebuilt by his son, Hideyori. Ieyasu Tokugawa's misinterpretation of the inscription on the copper bell, which is an Important Cultural Property, led to two civil wars in Osaka. The Toyotomis lost the war and Ieyasu took power as the first shogun of the Edo period. |
