When I took a glance at your photo before reading your text, I was very shocked by the photo because it has looked as if you had your hair permed. However, I have found that you do not write about perm. I am relieved to see it.

Hello Wind,
My name is Ted and I live in USA, I found your site today, and it is the most beautiful place that I have ever visited on the internet!!- than you so much for making it and also for promoting such beautiful hair!!!! You have exactly the same philosophy about hair that I have.

It is unfortunate that so many Asian woman destroy their beautiful hair-here in the US, it is most common just now to have layered hair, and so the person cuts all over the hair with a razor- sometimes it is still a little bit long, but it is terrible condition, with little pieces everywhere, and the beautiful shine is gone.
Before this, all Asian woman have short hair with fringe, and before this, it was popular to have permanent wave- which is the worst thing possible to do to hair- when I was in high school, there was a beautiful Vietnamese girl there, and she had perfect long shiny hair, it was very long, past her belt, and all of the boys look at her, but all of the other girls, they tell her that she should change this and look like them and so one day she comes to school with permanent,- her hair was destroyed.... she had it like this way for about 2 weeks time, then she cut all of her hair short like a boy- it made me sick to see this, and no one
looked at her again because she lost her beauty...... why do they do this?
is it the same in Japan?

It is popular now that Asian woman color their hair also- not so much like you describe as in Japan, but often with light brown and dark red- it has no comparison to the natural black color, this is so beautiful, and when the sun shines, it has many tiny colors also......Here it is usual for most woman to constantly tell woman with long beautiful hair that she must cut it- this is terrible,

That's regrettable. I guess the reason why many Asian women dye their hair is the influence of European and American culture, that is, blonde is beautiful. Actually blonde long hair is beautiful if she is native blonde. However, dyed yellow hair is not beautiful in its quality. Dyed hair is damaged very much.

> it is most common just now to have layered hair
That's also regrettable. I have not known that layared hair is also fashion in US. As you have written, lazor cut kills the beautiful shine of long hair.

> all

> them and so one day she comes to school with permanent
This situation is similar to that in Japan. Dyed and layered short or middle length hair is predominant in Japan, so women who wear long hair with natural black are attacked by their female friend so as to dye and cut their hair. This is a serious problem in Japan.

[From webmaster, this reply is an e-mail from Ted to webmaster(Wind), and it is posted by webmaster with the permission by Ted]

It is true what you said about that a natural blond with long straight
hair is also beautiful, but in reality, such natural blond is very rare, about 80-90% of woman with blond hair here have light brown or even dark brown and change it, and then it is like dry straw, and it can not stay very long because it breaks constantly...

I believe that most of the problems here are from hairdressers- they probably know that long natural hair is the most beautiful, but if all woman have such hair, then there would be no business for them, and also the companies that supply to them like hair color and permanent, so this entire industry is constantly putting pressure on woman to look "modern" so they can have constant supply of work- at the expense of the woman's beauty.

I agree with you. I sometimes watch "blond" white female, and find that
her native color of hair is not blond. Such dyed "blond" hair is damaged, and not beautiful.

> if all woman
> have such hair, then there would be no business for them
Certainly. I have also written the text in the same meaning to yours
in Japanese on this web site.

I asked your question to Ryuha Ko san. She says that the speed of hair growing becomes slower as hair becomes longer. Unfortunately she forgets how long it took to get floor length hair. She hopes your challenge.

■12 Christmas card from Ms Krzysztof

Australian girl, Ms Krzysztof, has sent us a very nice Christmas card. Thanks a lot!
I have shown it on our illustation page.
She draws long haired lady whose hair covers her one eye, so that she shows extra appeal. I love this dramatic hair style.
We seldom meet ladies with such hair style in Japan. Is it popular for party or date in Australia, Europe or US?

The style is a very classic style, the hair over the eyes or "peekaboo!". I really like this one myself and it seems to be fairly popular in Australia, usually not worn so long which is a shame :( because its a very flattering style for all face shapes. The most popular hairstyle in Aus at the moment is to have a layered hair cut usually mid back to shoulder length with a long swept back fringe and coloured highlights ^_^'

Thank you for your telling me the name of the hair style, "peekaboo". Recently I have bought some hair style magazines, and found the word on them. The hair style which over one eye has been shown as cool or sexy one on them with many pictures.
Since you can wear peekaboo fringe, I guess that you have grown your fringe long. I believe that you look very cool when you wear peekaboo fringe.
Shoulder length layered cut and coloured hair is also very popular in Japan. But we (Long Hair Magazine) do not recommend it because it damages hair seriously.

There is a way to colour hair and not damage it. I've been asking around at what some women use and a friend of mine who has beautiful red hair said that she uses henna to colour it. It is usually used to deep condition as well. You can get coloured henna and uncoloured just for conditioning once a month. I'm going to try deep conditioning with the uncoloured henna first just to see how well my hair does! I'm not keen on colouring my hair though.

We have been managing a page for long hair project in Japanese. Now, Ms Krzysztof takes part in it. So I have made a page for long hair project in English.
She is a new comer. Although she has now not so long hair, her goal of hair length is knee length!!! Fantastic!
As she writes on her long hair project's page, she always cuts her hair before it becomes long.
I would like to encourage her long hair project. I am looking forward to seeing that she becomes super longhaired girl.

Your hair has growed long in these 3 months. I am glad to see your growed hair.
Your hair is glossy, and I expect that you will wear long and beautiful hair in the future.
You have cut your hair horizontally. It looks very nice, and I love this hair style.
