51 The Imperial Restoration of the Kenmu Era (1334-1338) (an omission) It was the 6th month of the 3rd year of Genkou era (1333) when the (Go-Daigo) Emperor returned to Kyouto from Oki Island. Three years later, in the 5th month of the first year of the Engen era (1336) Kusunoki Masashige died, and in the 12th month the Emperor moved to Mt. Yoshino. Thus the Imperial Restoration of the Kenmu Era was brief. Furthermore, careful research reveals that Ashikaga Takauji had not change sides after in the imperial restoration. Rather, he had been opposed to it right from the start.

　

51　建武の中興 　 （前略） 　（後醍醐）天皇が隠岐の島より京へお帰りになりましたのは、元享三年の六月、その 翌年が建武元年、次が建武二年、次が延元元年、その五月に（楠木）正成は戦死し、そ の十二月に天皇は吉野へお登りになったのですから、建武の中興と云いましても、それ は極めて短い間でありましたし、よく調べてみますと、中興が出来てから足利（高氏） が謀反したのでは無く、中興と同時に、すでに足利は謀反していたと云ってよい状態で ありました。
