The Gare de I'Est ( The East Station ) is one of the six large terminal stations
in Paris. It locates not far from the Gare du Nord ( The North Station ), and
one of the largest and oldest railway stations in Paris. TVG train for Zurich, Swiss,
departs 6 times, for Stuttgart, Germany, 4 times a day, TGV or ICE train to Wien, Austria,
via Germany, departs from Gare de I'Est ( East Station ) 6 times a day ( 2010).

パリ東駅 （Gare de l'Est） はストラスブルグ、ナンシーなど、フランス東部地域（スイス国境）への鉄道の
起点駅である。ルクセンブルグ、ドイツへの国際列車はこの駅から出る。　TGVの発着も多く、,TER,　
オリエント・エクスプレスもパリ東駅から出発する。　メトロ（地下鉄）４号線と７号線は東駅に停車する。

Both the Gare du Nord and the Gare de L'Est stands close, but no direct passage between two terminal stations.


The Gare du Nord ( The North Station ) is one of the six large terminal stations in the areas of Paris.
It offers connections with several urban rail lines, i.e. Paris Metros and RER. By the number of
travelers ( estimated about 180 million per annum ), it is the busiest railway station in Europe
and one of the most active in the world. In terms of the station platform, Gare du Nord, Paris is
the second largest in the world, with 42 platforms. There are 21 Eurostar train services each day
from Gare du Nord ( North Station ) to London, England (2010).

Platform 3-6 : Eurostar to London, UK, via the Channel Tunnel.
Platform 7-8: Thalys to Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.

パリ北駅 （Gare de Nord ）はフランス国鉄の主要なターミナルの一つで、英国のロンドン行きのTGV、
ユーロスターはこの駅から出発する。タリスの他、ハンブルグ、ベルリン行きの夜行列車、フランス
北部への TGV も北駅が起点となる。３番線〜６番線がユーロスター用、７，８番線がタリス用、
９番線以降は他のTVGなどの列車が出発する。ロンドン行ユーロスターを利用する乗客は２階の
出入国審査場で乗車券とパスポートの提示を求められる。ユーロスターのホームは金網で囲って
あり、チェックインした乗客以外は立ち入れない。

シャルル・ド・ゴール国際空港からの RER 線は、パリ北駅で４号線と５号線のメトロ（地下鉄）と連絡、
長距離高速鉄道との乗り換え駅でもある。


Thalys is known as ' The red train' for the color. Each Thaly train set the feature
of 120 in the first class (comfort1) and 257 in the second class (comfort2).

タリス（Thalys） はフランス、ベルギー、オランダ、ドイツ4ヵ国を鉄路で結ぶ高速列車である。
最高速度は300キロ。本社はベルギーのブリュセルにあり、パリ・ブリュセル間は30分間隔で
走行している。なお、フランス国鉄は株式の62％を保有している。興味あることに、複線区間
の通行はフランス、ベルギーでは左側を、オランダ、ドイツでは右側を走る。英国、ロンドンへ
に乗り入れているユーロスターは、フランス、英国共に左側通行なので問題なくそのまま
相互乗り入れが出来る。


Gare Saint-Lazare is one of the six large terminus train stations of Paris. It is the second
busiest in Paris, behind the Gare du Nord, handling 274,000 passengers each day.

サン・ラザール駅はパリのターミナル駅の中で最も古い。画家、クロード・モネがこの駅を題材にいくつも
の連作を描いている。現在、ヴェルサイユなどへの近郊線のターミナル駅として使用されている。

The Gare d' Austerlitz is the one of six large terminal stations in Paris. It is situated on the
left bank of the Seine River, in the southeastern part of the city. The station is used by
about 25 million passengers each year.

(L) Corail Teoz was launched by SNCF as the existing Corail trains were replaced and modernized.
It connects the southern area of France with Paris. This SNCF train has a big body and provides a comfortable trip.

セーヌ川を挟んでリヨン駅とオーステルリッツ駅がある。オーステルリッツ駅はボルドー、トゥールーズなど
フランス西部からの長距離列車のターミナルである。しかし、同じ方向に向かうＴＧＶはモンパルナス駅
から発着する。

The Montparnasse Station is one of the large terminal stations of the railways in Paris, located
in the South of Paris. Atlantic TGV departs here. TGV train to Madrid, Spain departs from Montparnasse
at 10:10. There is two other night train service to Madrid. A train to Lisbona, Portugal departs
from here at 15:50, each day (2010). About 50 million travelers use this station per annum.

モンパルナス駅はパリ市街地の南側に位置し､主にフランス西部、南西部方面の列車の始発駅である。
TERは主にサントル、ノルマンディー方面へ向かう。トゥール、ボルドー行きのTGV、LGV太平洋高速線の
列車もモンパルナス駅を起点とする。ヴェルサイユ方面への近郊電車もここから出る。


The Gare de Lyon is one of the six large railway terminal stations in Paris. The destination of
many long-distance trains departing from the gare de Lyon is en route to the south and east
of France. The station also hosts regional train and RER services. An international TVG or EuroNight
train is in service for Milano, Italy, 3 times, for Venezia, Italy, 2 times, and for Roma, Italy, 2 times,
each day ( 2010 ).

セーヌ川近くのリヨン駅（ Gare de Lyon ） はフランス国鉄（ SNCF ） ターミナル駅の一つである。
旧パリ・リヨン鉄道の起点であったことからこう呼ばれている。パリからフランス南東部へ多くの
高速列車が出発する。1989年、筆者はこのリヨン駅からマルセイユまでTGVに乗車した。１等の
ユーロパスを持っていたが、１等の予約が取れず、やむなく２等車に乗ったが、当時の車両は
座席が非常に窮屈であったのを記憶している。SNCFの車体に今、ダイナミックに改良が加えられ、
そのデザイン性といい、高速走行といい、世界の鉄道の頂点を争うまでに成長している。
