Masanori Fukuda was born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1962. He graduated with honors majoring in euphonium and a postgraduate diploma in performing arts from the Tamagawa University, Senzoku Gakuen College of Music specializing in conducting and a postgraduate diploma in composing from the Tokyo Gakugei University . He also studied with Prof. Toru Miura (Euphonium), Prof. Kazuyoshi Akiyama, Prof. Yoshitomo Kawachi, Prof. Yasuhiko Shiozawa, Mr. Douglas Bostock and Maestro Frederick Fennell (Conducting),Tomoki Tanimoto,Genba Fujita,Yasuhide ito and Masahiro Yamauchi(Composing)

After winning 3rd prize in the 6th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition, he was invited to perform in various concerts including recordings with bands such as the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and Siena Wind Orchestra, amongst others. He also performs regularly as solo euphoniumist with the Tokyo Brass Society and Euphonium-Tuba Company. He appeared in International Euphonium-Tuba Conference (USA) as a member of The Euphonium Company in 1992.

With his passion and pursuit for excellence in music performance, he took part in the conducting master class directed by Maestro Fennell. He won the best conductor prize in the All Japan Band Contest in 2010 and 2012 and was also awarded the Excellent Director Award from Ibaraki Prefecture Band Federation in 2010 and 2000.

In 2013, he was awarded a special commendation from the Japan Band Directors’ Association. He is currently serving as a director with the Japan Euphonium-Tuba Association and Japan Brass Band Directors’ Association, music director of the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music British Brass Band, Sakai Wind symphony, Eastern stars wind ensemble and Tokyo Brass Society.

He is also a highly demanded euphonium soloist, conductor, composer, judge and clinician in Japan. He was invited as a adjudicator and clinician by Wind Bands Association of Singapore for the 4^th Singapore International Band Festival in 2015 ,7^th Singapore International Band Festival in 2018 and 7th Hong Kong Winter Band Festival in 2017.And He appointed as one of the conductor for the 2^nd WBAS Youth Band Festival in2014 and 6^th WBAS Youth Band Festival in 2018.Also he held Conductiong Masterclass in 2018 in Singapore.

As a composer and arranger, a lot of works of him are published and distributed by Brain music, Sumiya Band Inn,Asks winds , Winds Style, Windart publishing and Foster music publising in Japan. His compositions are regularly performed in competitions such as the All Japan Ensemble Competition.In 2019,He won the first place in the 5th K composition competition and won a prize in the 27th TIAA All Japan composer competition. In 2023 He won the first place in the 5th International Competition for Band Composition Angelo Inglese(Italy) in category A(Symphonic piece) with his work "Prayers of Hope".
